Etched Selenite Plaque

Selenite is formed by calcium sulfate dihydrate (CaSO4·2H2O), and has a lustrous and luminous appearance which almost seems to radiate as light passes through- enchanting it's viewers. Named after Selene, the Greek goddess of the moon, Selenite was once considered to be tied to the waxing/waning cycle of the Moon. Like the Moon has several forms such as columns, sharp clusters, or flowers each with their own charms.
